CEYLON. Certified Minor Coinage, ca. 1892-1929. NGC & ICG AU-55 to MS-66.
31 pieces in lot. An almost entirely mint state assemblage of pieces from the reigns of Victoria, Edward VII and George V, and featuring denominations of Cent, 10 Cents, 25 Cents and 50 Cents as well as a Colombo plantation token. All pieces are certified by either NGC or ICG and are entirely straight graded examples. Minimal duplication making for somewhat solid date runs of the silver coinage. Chock full of high grade examples making it a very tempting lot for specialist collectors seeking upgrades. All pieces are quite handsomely toned with light slate gray over strong luster with some pieces exhibiting cobalt and sea green highlights. The chances of locating another similar large concentration of high grade material from this island nation is almost nil; for collectors of Ceylon a lot not to be missed. Retail value of about $1,200. Inspection advised. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. NGC & ICG AU-55 to MS-66.
Estimate: $500.00- $700.00
