EAST AFRICA. 25 Cents, 1914-H. NGC SP-65.
KM-10. Population of three at NGC and PCGS combined with none finer. Struck under the administration of the East Africa Currency Board, with the reverse legend reading East Africa & Uganda Protectorate. The usual King George V portrait from the era graces the obverse. The well executed reverse device displays a lion striding right with a mountain in the background. Clearly a presentation piece, the overall quality is outstanding, with the reeding and denticles having razor sharp edges. Bright, lustrous and free of tone, the coin is a real jewel. Tied for finest graded and fitting multiple collecting genre; a combination sure to produce heated competition between potential new owners. NGC SP-65.
