GREAT BRITAIN. 1/2 Crown, ND (1639-40). Tower Mint. Charles I (1625-49). PCGS AU-55 Secure Holder.
S-2776; N-2212; Brooker-352. Rough groundline under horse, large shield on reverse, Triangle mintmarks on both sides. Somewhat crude strike as is normal for this issue but with surprisingly little in the way of circulation wear or doubling. The surfaces glisten with original luster not just in the protected areas but even in the more open fields and spaces in legends. Light golden toning with only some deeper gray tones on the reverse. A very well preserved example with massive eye appeal. PCGS AU-55 Secure Holder.
From the Rye Collection.
Estimate: $250.00- $400.00
