GREAT BRITAIN. 1/2 Crown, 1689. William & Mary (1688-94). NGC EF-40.
S-3434; KM-472.1; Esc-503a. Second L/M in "GVLIELMVS". Just enough darker tone to accentuate the legends and devices, with light gray coloration through the open portions of the fields. Few would disagree that the piece appears to be at the very upper limits for the assigned grade. Aside from the absence of luster, the coin has all of the qualities of a higher graded piece. NGC EF-40.
