Bruce-P1. SCARCE. Reported mintage of 70, and struck two full years before Latvia gained independence from the Soviet Union. Has the reverse coat of arms eventually adopted in 1990. Struck to commemorate the 70th anniversary of independence in 1918, though Latvia was hardly independent at the time. (The Soviets partitioned the country in December of 1918).
