RUSSIA. Order of Friendship with Poster, ND (ca. 1972-91). ALMOST UNCIRCULATED.
47 x 50 mm, excluding ribbon; 50.02 gms including ribbon. Vernon-unlisted; Werlich-unlisted. A five pointed faceted silver plaque with gilt silver rays in the angles upon which is mounted a five point, gold rimmed red enamel star. The central medallion features a silver border featuring clasped hands around a white enamel medallion with a raised emblem of the Soviet Union, above which is inscribed: "FRIENDSHIP OF THE PEOPLES" in cyrillic characters. Numbered 16004 on the reverse, just below "MINT" in cyrillic characters. The red ribbon with yellow stripes and a green and blue border is mounted on a pentagonal two-piece aluminum pinback suspender. Also included is an interesting poster regarding this order. Enamel fully intact. ALMOST UNCIRCULATED.
