SOUTH AFRICA. Nine Piece Proof Set, 1948. NGC PROOF-62 to PROOF-66.
KM-PS20; Hern-P22. Farthing to 5 Shillings. All are housed within older NGC holders. A nicely matched set with mostly gem or near gem coins. The 5 Shillings is graded a few notches lower at 62, with the balance of the set grading in the 64 to 66 range. Fiery burnt orange on the bronze issues, with glossy mirrored fields on the silver. A few minor tone spots but much more importantly, fully original. NGC PROOF-62 (1), PROOF-64 RB (1), PROOF-65 RB (2), PROOF-65 (4) & PROOF-66 (1).
