SOUTH AFRICA. 3 Pence, 6 Pence & Shillings, ca. 1924-59. NGC EF Details--Scratched to NGC PROOF-66.
Approximately 67 pieces in lot. A solid collection of silver minor coinage from the Union of South Africa, all certified by NGC, PCGS or ICG with the majority housed within ICG holders. Strongest in 3 Pence coins with the 6 Pence denomination the next largest representation, and eleven Shillings rounding out the offering. Mostly from the reign of George VI but with some choice pieces from George V, including a 1925 3 Pence graded NGC AU-55 featuring the flower reverse (KM-15.1). Contains only a handful of issues that were struck under Elizabeth II. A small percentage of pieces have below mint state or details grades. The lot also includes a pair of Shillings (1948 and 1952) struck in proof 65 and 66 grades respectively. A well focused group with light to moderate duplication, and a great opportunity for the specialist in South African material looking for upgrades. Retail value of about $1,500. Inspection advised, SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. NGC EF Details--Scratched to NGC PROOF-66.

Estimate: $700.00- $900.00
