CHINA--PROVINCIAL BANKS. Kirin Government Bank. 1 Dollar, ND (1907-09). P-S895. Very Fine.
(S/M#C71-1) Vertical format with facing dragons and pearl of wisdom at center, sea below. Brown frame and various stamped seals and characters. Back in orange with CHINA in large text at top center, obligation center and KIRIN GOVERNMENT BANK at bottom. Large purple stamped seal at back. Very Fine body and detail are had and just some edge roughness mostly at the upper left is noticed with perhaps a minor repair. Overall appeal is strong and with this catalog number being so rare, waiting for a finer example could be far longer than a collector would willingly wait. We could find only one recent auction appearance being a 2013 sale where a note cataloged as Extremely Fine brought 700,000 HKD. While we may not expect a realization that strong, the note is certainly a highlight of this auction. Very Fine.

Estimate: $10000.00- $20000.00
