MACAU. 100 Patacas Three Piece Set, 1988. PCGS PROOF-65 to PROOF-69 DEEP CAMEO.
VERY RARE. Struck for the 35th Anniversary Grand Prix race. Standard issue in silver (KM-40) plus Patterns in gold (Fr-4) and in bronze (Unlisted). Reported mintage of only 10 pieces each in gold and bronze. (We handled another identical set in 2009 in original packaging that documented the mintage indicated here). The copper piece is the only example seen at the grading services, and unlisted. The gold coin weighs 47.5 grams and is unlisted in Krause, though Friedburg describes it without a mintage listed (not to be confused with the more common 500 Patacas in gold with a similar design). A phenomenal opportunity to add this nearly impossible to find set of coins that are free of spots, tone or fog. PCGS PROOF-65 to PROOF-69 DEEP CAMEO.
