CHINA. Hollow Handle Square Shoulder Spade Money, Spring-Autumn Period (ca. 650-400 B.C.). VERY FINE.
cf.H-2.45; Jen-8. Sharper character than the listed Hartill variety, with a circle above the lower portion rather than a cross. Majority of the surface features a green patina with hues from light moss to lime, with the areas missing patina likely caused by the spade being separated from a pile of others. Some loss to top of handle noted, including the clay within. VERY FINE.
Estimate: $400.00- $600.00
