CHINA. Hollow Handle Square Shoulder Spade Money, Spring-Autumn Period (ca. 650-400 B.C.). FINE.
cf.H-2.116; Jen-8. Bold lines with a clear character similar to the listed Hartill variety. Partial olive patina, mostly on periphery with deep charcoal color in central areas all contrasting nicely against the vibrant red clay in the handle. A thin pale line can be observed just below the handle which is probably the remaining evidence of finely done repair. Aside from that noted issue no other signs of tooling or cleaning are present. FINE.
Estimate: $350.00- $500.00
