CHINA. 20 Cents, ND (1912). NGC MS-66+.
L&M-61; K-601; Y-317; WS-0086. A one of a kind example that comes within a point of finest graded at NGC. Blistering white luster from immaculate obverse surfaces highlight the well struck portrait. Every strand of hair is sharp and crisp, with facial features that are nearly lifelike. Equally impressive obverse fields can be seen, with fine satin texture that is free of abrasions or marks. A crescent of tone adds further character. The reverse is stunning, with deep dark foreboding tone completely dominating the surfaces. Close inspection reveals a plethora of mixed coloration, all combining to produce the unusual look seen here. The nearly flawless crossed flags and razor sharp peripheral legends help to lock in the grade. One of the most attractive examples we have ever offered of the type. NGC MS-66+.
