CHINA. Chang Hsueh-liang Commemorative Silver Medal, ND (1936). NGC MS-65.
L&M-965a; Bruce-M535. Presented to graduates of Chang's officer training school in Xian. Chang Hsueh-liang was an instrumental figure in ending the Chinese Civil War, accommodating communist rule, and presenting a united front in opposition to the Japanese occupation. One of the great heroes of Chinese twentieth century history, and represented here in the form of a medal that likely is the finest extant. Brilliant white with explosive luster that leaps from the surfaces. The portrait is fully struck, in high relief, and with nearly three dimensional characteristics. Of the highest historical significance, and in pristine condition, an unbeatable combination that is sure to elicit spirited bidding. NGC MS-65.

Estimate: $3500.00- $5000.00
