CHINA. Order of the Brilliant Star, Second Class Cased Set, ND (Instituted 1941).
Barac-466-477; Li-P120-121. Includes 89.8 mm Breast Star with an eight pointed faceted lightly gilt plaque upon which has been superimposed a gold-rimmed white plaque. Several of the long rays of this plaque have enamel cracks, and one has lost a tiny bit of enamel. Central medallion is dark blue with a gold-rimmed white star surrounded by a gilt band. Eight blue and eight red protrusions project from this band. The two top red protrusions have gilt stars mounted on them. The reverse bears a single hinged and latched tunic pin which is missing part of the tab, but is still functional. Two curved bands of inscriptions decorate the reverse as well as the number "801". The 73.1 mm Sash Badge is similar, but smaller, and with a loop for suspension. A few minor cracks are evident in the white enamel, but there is no enamel loss. The reverse inscriptions and number are the same, "801". Other than the described enamel problems, the pair grade EXTREMELY FINE.

Estimate: $800.00- $1200.00
