THESSALY, Gyrton. 3rd century BC. Æ Trichalkon (21mm, 7.72 g, 5h). Laureate head of Zeus left / ΓΥΡΤ / ΩΝΙΩΝ (partially retrograde), horse prancing right; monogram below. Cf. Rogers 236; BCD Thessaly I 1055.2 var. (orientation of ethnic); BCD Thessaly II 83.11 var. (same); HGC 4, 366. Good VF, red-brown patina.
