EASTERN EUROPE, Imitations of Roman Republican. Geto-Dacians. After 83 BC. AR Denarius (18mm, 3.73 g, 9h). Imitating obverse of C. or M Aburius Geminus, reverse of Q. Antonius Balbus. Helmeted head of Roma right; mark of value below chin / Victory driving quadriga right. Davis Class A, Group II, M135 (this coin). For prototype: cf. Crawford 244/1 or 250/1 (obv.) and 364/1 (rev.). Near VF, lightly toned, minor flan crack, a few marks on obverse.
