Macedonia, Alexander III The Great; 336-323 BC. Uncertain of Pamphylia, c. 220-180 BC, Tetradrachm, 16.55g. Price-2982. Obv: Head of Herakles r. wearing skin of lion's head with mane. Rx: ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus enthroned l. holding eagle and scepter; in l. field, eradicated symbol (3-4 letters?). Attribution tentative: based on stylistic similarity to Mektepini 721, which also has an eradicated symbol in left field on reverse. EF
