(thistle) · IACOBVS · D · G · MAG · BRIT · FRAN · & · HIB' · REX ·, James VI, crowned and wearing armor, right on caparisoned horse, holding raised sword and reins / (thistle) · QVÆ · DEVS · CONIVNXIT · NEMO · SEPARET ·, coat-of-arms with arms of Scotland in first and fourth quarters. Burns 1 (Fig. 983 – same rev. die); SCBI 35 (Ashmolean & Hunterian), 1369 (same rev. die); SCBC 5502. Good VF, toned, a few light scratches and areas of weakness.
