SELEUKID EMPIRE. Alexander I Balas. 152-145 BC. AR Tetradrachm (30mm, 16.62 g, 2h). Antioch on the Orontes mint. Dated SE 164 (149/8 BC). Diademed head right / Zeus Nikephoros enthroned left; monogram to inner left, ΔΞP (date) and monogram in exergue. SC 1782.3d; HGC 9, 875a. Superb EF, toned, a couple die breaks on obverse, a little off center on reverse. Attractive surfaces.
