LUCANIA, Metapontion. Circa 510-470 BC. AR Nomos (24.5mm, 6.67 g, 12h). Barley ear of seven grains / Incuse barley ear of six grains. Noe Class IX, 191; HN Italy 1482. Superb EF, toned, some die wear on reverse. High relief obverse from fresh die. Very rare with ethnic reading outward.
