Isaac II Angelus. First reign, 1185-1195. EL Aspron Trachy (29mm, 3.91 g, 6h). Constantinople mint. The Virgin Mary enthroned facing, holding facing bust of the Holy Infant; trefoil of pellets to either side / Isaac standing facing, holding cruciform scepter and akakia, being crowned by St. Michael the Archangel. DOC 2c.1; CLBC 7.2.1; SB 2002. Near EF, purple tone, thin flan crack.
