I-3),about extremely fine,Very Rare Type in the series.

Altekar attributes the famous King and Queen type to Chandra Gupta I and he does not categorise it further in any class or variety like he has done in the other Gupta coins. So the major differential feature of this coin is that the presence of crescent between the king and queen with the addition of Sri in the queens name. The variety where lion on reverse faces left is much rarer than the one where it faces right.

This specimen is struck with the complete dies as the tail and feet of lion is fully visible. And queen is seen in the tribhanga standing posture on the obverse where her both legs are on the specimen which usually get omitted in this series coins.
