Brazil Republica dos Estados do Brasil Various Denominations 10.10.1935 Pick UNL Face and Back Specimen Folders. An attempt by Waterlow & Sons to win a paper money printing contract with first-rate designs. There are two different sizes of brown Waterlow & Sons folders with the larger being approximately 11 by 8.5 inches, though there is variation. Each has a white label on the front cover stating in Portuguese, "Annex to Application" and a date of October 10, 1935. Also, on the inside of the front cover there is a typewritten description of the note plus two revenue stamps of Brazil. The respective note is mounted on card stock which in turn is mounted to the inside of the back cover. These notes are 5 Mil Reis face, back, 20 Mil Reis face, back, 200 Cruzeiros face, and back. The smaller holders measure approximately 10 by 8 inches even though there is variation. They have mounted on the inside back cover a 10 Mil Reis back, 50 Mil Reis back, 100 Mil Reis back, 200 Mil Reis face, and back. They lack the date label on the front cover, typewritten description, and the revenue stamps. Uncirculated with foxing and a couple of the pieces also having printer's handwritten notations.
