Fanning Island Fanning Island Plantation £1 ND (1942) Schwan-Boling 1541b Almost all of the Fanning Island notes were severed in two with their corners clipped. The halves were then reincarnated as movie admission tickets. The value of "1/-" for 1 Shilling was hand-written in blue crayon on the left half and "2/-" for 2 Shillings in red crayon on the right half. These hand-written denominations are seen on all severed half notes. This attractive example has bright paper a red 2/-. It is an ideal mate to the £1 also offered here.
