Iran Imperial Bank of Persia 2 Tomans 11.8.1928 Pick 12. An absolutely wonderful and appealing example of this early design, that faces up much better than its stated grade. All colors are original on both sides, contrasting wonderfully on the stainless paper. Naser al-Din Shah Qajar is featured to the right. Two Toman notes were actually not a popular denomination, and hence were not issued in large amounts. This Tehran example has all the hallmarks of a well preserved note, especially the bright multicolor security device on the back. A solid PMG Choice Very Fine 35.
