A problem free note without any paper damage, commonly seen on notes of these series as they were issued by individual banks with permission of the Currency Commission. Because of this, the individual private banks were hesitant to recall them from circulation due to wear in commerce as it would mean they would have to be redeemed for specie or other notes. This is the reason why so many Ploughman notes today are in lower conditions, which makes this particular example very elusive. PMG Very Fine 30.
