Ireland Currency Commission Northern Bank Limited £10 6.5.1929 Pick 34. A grandly sized, well preserved example of the "Ploughman" design. All notes of this early Currency commission series used the design, with different denominations and issuing banks. Northern Bank was one of the smaller issuing banks. According to "Paper Money of Ireland" potential survivors for this issuer and denomination has been placed at around seven extant. It is a wonderful surviving example which retains the border embossing which can be easily seen from the back. Seldom seen in this state of preservation and quite rare as such. This lovely PMG Very Fine 30 is likely to cause a stir here today.
