Mexico Empire of Iturbide 1 Peso 1.1.1823 Pick 1c. This is an example of Mexico's first paper money as she had just wrestled independence away from Spain in 1821. These are also often included with Texas collections as Texas at this time was part of the Mexican state of Coahuila y Tejas.
