Spain Banco de Espana 1000 Pesetas 1.5.1895 Pick 45. A grandly sized note and one of the rarities of early Spanish banknotes. This series with the interesting woven thread security feature to the left was printed domestically, and owing to outstanding orders and possibly technological issues, were in short supply compared to Bradbury Wilkinson and notes from foreign contractors. The high denomination also prevented most examples from being kept. This example however, is in a very appealing condition with all features still excellent. A trophy note for any collection. PMG Choice Very Fine 35 Net, repaired.
