Italy Internee Camp - Terni 2 Lire (2) ND Feller IT-1476 Campbell 6631. After Italy changed sides in 1943, the Allies established a number of internment camps in that country, including two internee camps at Arquata-Scrivia and Terni. The Terni camp was located just north of Rome and housed, for a time, Donna Rachele Mussolini, Benito Mussolini's new widow. This group contains two consecutively numbered examples of the 2 Lire denomination in Uncirculated condition. The design and denomination, which we have not offered before, is unpriced in Campbell and valued at $500 in Feller.
