The Belfast Banking Company was one of the earlier banks to be taken over, having been absorbed by the Midlands Bank in 1917. Nevertheless, it issued notes under its own name for quite some time after that. The EPQ designation must be noted. PMG Extremely Fine 40 EPQ.
