Portugal Banco de Portugal 1000 Escudos 2.4.1965 Pick 171. A large denomination that for some reason was not widely circulated. A striking note featuring a representation of Dom Diniz (or Dinis) at right. He was Portugal's sixth King. Although he advanced Portugal in a number of ways, his prime concern was the rural infrastructure and that earned him the nickname Farmer King. A problem free and very attractive PMG Choice Very Fine 35.
