MACEDONIAN KINGDOM. Perseus (179-168 BC). AR tetradrachm (30mm, 15.45 gm, 11h). Reduced standard, Pella or Amphipolis, ca. 171-168 BC. Diademed head of Perseus right / ΒΑΣΙ-ΛΕΩΣ ΠΕP-ΣΕΩΣ, eagle standing right on thunderbolt, wings spread; monograms above, A to right; all within oak wreath; plow right below. Mamroth 23. Well centered on a broad flan, with a superb portraut and attractive golden-gray toning. NGC AU 5/5 - 4/5, Fine Style.
