Marcus Aurelius, as Caesar (AD 139-161). AR denarius (3.68 gm). Rome, AD 148-9. Bare, beardless head of Marcus right / Providentia standing facing, head left, resting left arm on column and holding scepter, pointing with right hand to globe at feet. RIC (Pius) 446. With a beautifully detailed portrait and lustrous surfaces. Flan crack at 2:00, otherwise perfect. NGC (misidentified as Antoninus Pius, and the reverse as Annona) MS 4/5 - 5/5.
