Richard II (1377-99), Noble, type IVa, 7.54g, mm. -/cross pattée, ric/ard di gra rex angl z franc dns hib z aq/t, saltire stops except scallop after di and gra, king with sword and shield, facing, in ship, scallop on rudder, trefoil by shield, rev. ihc avtem transiens per mediv illorvm ibat, single/double saltire stops, ornate cross, r in panel at centre, all within tressure, trefoils in spandrels (N.1304; S.1658; Schneider -; Stewartby IVa1), edge ragged at 10 oclock, almost very fine, very rare with escallop in obverse legend.
