The silver coins of Ahmad II of Hamah follow the denominations of 3/8 and 3/4 dirhams, whereas al-Qahira (and perhaps other mints as well) issued ½ and ¼ dirhams, with all fractions derived from a theoretical standard of about 2.70g, as introduced by his predecessor Shaykh.
