THESSALY, Larissa. Circa 420-400 BC. AR Drachm. The hero Thessalos, with petasos and chlamys hanging around neck, restraining bull left by band held around its head / ΛΑPI-Σ-ΑΙ, bridled horse rearing right within incuse circle. Lorber, Thessalian 60; BCD Thessaly I –; BCD Thessaly II 370.3 (same obv. die); cf. HGC 4, 420. VF, toned.
