CRETE
Knossos. Circa 360-320 BC. Stater (Silver, 23mm, 10.92 g). Head of Demeter to right, wearing wreath of grain ears, pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. Cruciform labyrinth made of four swastikas with a rosette of five pellets at the center; in the angles, four incuse squares. Le Rider pl. VII, 4. SNG Delepierre 2340. Svoronos 45. Attractive dark patina. Very fine.
