Barke. Circa 331-322 BC. Stater (Gold, 19mm, 8.63 g 11), Polyanthes. ΚΥΡΑΝΑΙΟΝ Nike, holding goad in her right hand and the reins in both, driving quadriga turning slightly to the right. Rev. ΠΟΛΥΑΝΘΕΥ[Σ] Zeus-Ammon standing facing, his head turned to the left, holding phiale in his right hand and long staff in his left; to left, thymiaterion. BMC 118. Naville 87. A superb piece with an exceptional obverse. Reverse struck from a slightly worn die, otherwise, extremely fine.
