IMP CAESAR Military trophy, with armor and weapons above and rudder and anchor in saltire below, on prow of galley. BN 57. BMC 625. Cohen 119. CRI 419. RIC 265a. Beautifully toned and attractive. Unimportant area of flat striking on the obverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
The trophy on the reverse refers to Octavian's victories over all of his enemies during the recent civil wars, especially to that of Actium.
