BOMBAY PRESIDENCY: tutenag 2 pice (30.32g), Bombay, ND, Stv-2.134, KM-157. Prid-240, lovely bold strike, very minor porosity, EF, R, ex Paul Stevens Collection. Includes ticket inscribed "from the Grogan sale, lot 125, and Caldecott, lot 49, £3/2/6" (for set of 2, 1, and ½ pence). Issues dated 1717-1718 are of tin, but from 1740 to 1771 the alloy was changed to one called tutenag (tutenague), which was mostly zinc, imported by the East India Company from China.
