NAR was a mint located in Kirman province, likely representing the city of Narmashir. Al-Hakam b. Abi'l-'As and his predecessor 'Abd al-Rahman b. Zayd were governors in the Kirman district. Their mint mark abbreviations appear on later governors proceded or followed by the provincial name KRMAN.
