TAIFAS AFTER THE ALMORAVIDS: Anonymous, 1146-1155, AV dinar (3.62g), NM, AH(5)40, A-405, W-615, emergency issue during the chaotic period at the end of Murabitid (Almoravid) power in Spain, EF, RRR. The Almoravid kingdom rapidly collapsed after the death of 'Ali b. Yusuf in AH537, vanishing just four years later. From 539 until the 550s, local Spanish dinars were struck in Almoravid style, some anonymous, and with or without a mint name (and at Murcia until 567).
