HAMDANID: Nasir al-Dawla & Sayf al-Dawla, 942-967, AR donative dirham (5.94g), Halab, AH334, A-748D, broad outer empty margins, citing the caliph al-Mustakfi, clear mint & date, unpublished & unique, VF, RRRR. The only published donative dirham of the two brothers thus far published is of Halab 353 (Morton & Eden Auction 79, Lot 113). The weight of this piece suggests that it might have been intended as a double dirham.
