GREAT MONGOLS: Anonymous, ca. 1225-1250, AR ½ dirham (0.79g), Jand, ND, A-3715K, Zeno-96572, HF-5, kalima without the final word Allah // name of caliph al-Nasir, probably posthumous, to be listed in the 4th edition of the Checklist of Islamic Coins, denomination of variable weight (0.5-0.8g), whereas the full dirham weight is rather accurate, to a standard of about 1.16g, small chip, VF, RRRR. Local issue of Jand (now in Kazakhstan), first discovered in the 1970s and published by V.N. Nastich in 1981, but until now, none have been offered on the market.
