Watch List notes:

BENGAL PRESIDENCY: AV mohur (10.84g), Muhammadabad Benares, AH12xx year 31, KM-31, Stv-7.17., Prid-, daroga mark D, light traces of mount on edge only, About Unc, RRR, ex Paul Stevens Collection. Pridmore knew only of regnal years 37 and 41 for the Benares mohur. Nearly all of the earlier dated pieces (years 26 to 32) came from a hoard allegedly found in the 1980s at some unknown location. All were gently mounted to form a large necklace, probably for an elephant. The hoard may have been found later, as nearly all the dates and variants were not known to KM before about 2004.
