ANCIENT COINS, GREEK COINS, Kingdom of Thrace, Lysimachos (323-281 BC), Gold Stater, mint of Pella, lifetime issue, struck 286/5-282/1 BC, diademed head of Alexander the Great facing right, wearing horn of Ammon, rev ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ / ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ, Athena enthroned left, holding Nike and resting her left arm on a shield at her side, behind her rests a spear, HP monogram on left, 8.42g, 11h (Müller 347; Thompson -, cf 240 (with an additional monogram), and 247 (tetradrachm)). In NGC holder graded strike 4/5, surface 5/5, of excellent style, an attractive example with a very good portrait of Alexander, nearly extremely fine.
