ANCIENT COINS, THE DAVID SELLWOOD COLLECTION OF PARTHIAN COINS (PART FOUR), Phraates III (70/69-58/7 BC), Silver Drachm, issued by Travelling Court Mint at Ecbatana c.62 BC, diademed and short bearded bust facing, wearing spiral torque with central medallion, rev archer enthroned right, monogram below bow, seven line inscription ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΜΕΓΑΛΟY ΑΡΣΑΚΟY ΘEΟΠΑΤΟΡΟΣ ΕYΕΡΓΕΤΟY ΕΠIΦΑNOYΣ (KAI) ΦΙΛΕΛΛΗΝΟΣ, 3.02g, 12h (S 35.3 (Darius, reverse die cut by a peripatetic engraver, see lots 377 and 381)). About very fine, one of only two known examples, the other in the British Museum.
