ANCIENT COINS, ANCIENT BRITISH, Celtic Gold, Dobunni, Eisu(?) (c. AD 20-43), Gold Stater, 5.37g, tree with horizontal branches, rev horse right with wide spread legs, three pellets above(?), star and wheel below (ABC 2075/8(?); VA 1105(?); S 381(?)). Lightly cleaned, fine, rare.
ex Clarendon Collection, Bonhams, March 2006, where it was catalogued as Anted (ABC 2066, S.379). Attribution to either Anted or Eisu is uncertain as there is virtually no legend visible, but the dies mostly closely match BMC 3042 (Eisu).

Estimate: £500-700
